EVIDENCE-BASED MEDICINE

This guide is an introductory list to help locate research materials at the Rowland Medical LibraryEvidence-based medicine is the use of current best evidence from clinical research in the management of individual patients. Practicing evidence-based medicine involves developing information seeking skills, evaluating new research, applying new information to individual patients and monitoring outcomes of treatment. The evidence-based medicine movement has led to a more careful evaluation of existing research and is creating a demand to improve the rigor of scientific research.
