Substance Dependence


This guide is an introductory list to help locate research materials at the Rowland Medical Library.  Substance dependence is the condition using  a pharmacological substance, alcohol or other materials in a manner that is not consistent with existing medical, social, or legal standards and practice. Repeated consumption of the addictive substance may cause recurrent and significant adverse effects.
