Medical Genetics
This guide is an introductory list to help locate research materials at the Rowland Medical Library. Genetics is a factor in nearly every common disease. The Human Genome Project is generating new knowledge about genes and mutations affecting human disease on a daily basis. There is a new challenge to integrate advances in genetics into primary care and transform our approach to medical treatments and prevention. Medical genetics is revolutionizing medical care and is raising new social and ethical questions that will have a fundamental impact on society.
