Nursing Research
This guide is an introductory list to help locate research materials at the Rowland Medical Library. Nursing research is the careful and systematic investigation of a problem in the field of nursing. It is practice- or discipline-oriented and links theory, education, and practice. Basic research is designed to extend the knowledge base by contributing to theory generation or theory testing. Applied research concentrates on practical problem-solving. The ultimate goal of nursing research is the development of a body of knowledge.
