Suicide
This guide is an introductory list to help locate research materials at the Rowland Medical Library. Suicide takes almost 30,000 American lives each year. It is the third leading cause of death for young people aged 15-14 years. Among the elderly, aged 85 years and older, the suicide rate is higher than for any other age group. Suicide cuts across ethnic, economic and social groups. This guide includes information on suicide, assessment and prevention, attempted suicide, and assisted suicide.
