The Rowland Medical Library advances improved health care by providing institutional leadership, instruction and expertise in knowledge management and by establishing a creative learning environment to strengthen the health professional education, research, patient care and service programs of the University.

To accomplish this mission, the library faculty and staff preserve, manage and disseminate collections of accessible biomedical information sources in all formats using advanced technologies. The library’s comprehensive programs of diverse information services and outreach activities enable collaborative interactions that both inform and transform the individual. The library fosters life-long learning by enhancing proficiency in informatics and information management to improve the quality of health care delivery and to further the pursuit of scientific discovery.
